We dropped our bags at the hotel and hit the streets looking for breakfast. Our taxi driver gave a thumbs up to the restaurant next to our hotel, Hotel Mediodia.

Making Spanish churros, always served with a cup of chocolate for dunking. We were given samples, yum!
As we walked, we realized the Museo Sofia was directly behind our hotel. And unlike the Prado, it was open. Below are pics I took before I was told not to photograph. This is the museum that houses the famous Picasso painting, Guernica. It was beyond thrilling to finally see it in person. For reasons stated above you won't see it below.
